Peng Li, Ph.D, Research fellow. Majored in Preventive Veterinary Medicine and received Ph.D degree from the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 2018. From October 2018 to August 2022, worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Albany Medical College in New York, USA. From September 2022 to now, worked at Beijing Institute of Animal Science, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and was selected into the "Young Talent Program" of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences Institute of Animal Science.
Engaged in etiology, pathogenisis and immune mechanism of bacterial zoonoses caused by Brucella, Yersinia pestis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa for a long time. At present, the research focus on brucellosis prevention and control and its pathogenesis, such as the mechanism by which Brucella evades the host immune system causing persistent infection and the development of new vaccines and diagnostic reagents for Brucella infection. Until now, published 15 SCI papers, of which 7 SCI papers were published on the PNAS, IAI, mSphere, JB etc. as first author, and the total impact factors ˃ 30.
