Introduction

The Institute of Animal Science (IAS) has always been committed to promoting substantive project collaboration through international academic exchange. The organization has established robust cooperative relationships with nearly 40 countries and scientific research institutions, including but not limited to the United States, Canada, Russia, Ireland, and Denmark.

Relying on the "Flexible Introduction" talent policy and the "National talent Introduction Base", the IAS has successfully introduced 5 international high-level talents through the flexible approach, and also invited foreign experts from around the world to participate in more than 50 technical exchanges and training sessions related to the international dairy industry technology promotion platform construction, dairy cow healthy breeding, genetic resources protection and other fields, to formed a relatively mature foreign experts intellectual support system. Meanwhile, IAS places emphasis on dispatching young experts to conduct cooperative research for one year or more at high-level University abroad annually, with the aim of further enhancing the scientific research capabilities of young researchers, and annually dispatches over 80 individuals for short-term academic exchanges to various countries, actively advocating on the international academic platform and enhancing the global influence of the institute.

(3) Scientific and Technological Research

Since the "13th Five-Year Plan", the IAS has undertaken 25 international cooperation projects with a total funding of nearly 40 million RMB. The IAS focuses on animal nutrition, protection and utilization of germplasm resources, and quality and safety of livestock products, which is of great significance to the healthy breeding of animal husbandry and the healthy and sustainable development of the industry.
