Research Direction: |
Xiangfang Tang is professor in Animal Nutrition and Precision Livestock Farming, and managing chair leader at the Smart Livestock Farming Group of CAAS. He is currently serving as the Assistant Director and Office Director of the Institute of Animal Science, CAAS. With a focus on biomass spectrometry technology, cutting-edge disciplines such as proteomics and metabolomics are applied to explore the metabolism and regulatory mechanisms of animal nutrients, as well as animals' responses to environmental stressors (such as temperature, humidity, wind, and harmful gases); focusing on the research field of smart livestock farming, the emphasis is placed on intelligent perception of physiological behaviors of livestock and poultry, monitoring and intelligent control of livestock and poultry environments, precision feeding technology and equipment for livestock and poultry, big data in livestock farming, as well as research on AI integration with modern animal husbandry practices. Until now, published more than 100 papers (including 19 SCI papers as the first author or corresponding author, with a cumulative IF 109.558, and the highest IF 15.1); participated in the compilation of 11 books (as deputy chief editor or main translator for 4 books), and edited 10 books as the responsible editor. |
