Biography
Prof. Chen obtained the Bachelor degree in Animal Husbandry Science at Huazhong Agricultural University, the Master degree in Animal Nutrition and Feed Science at Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the PhD degree in Animal Genetics, Breeding and Reproduction Science in 2004. She joined the Institution of Animal Science of Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences in 1985, and engaged in research of germplasm resources and laying hens breeding. She was awarded the National "Woman-Pacesetter" and State Department special allowance experts. She is member of the Poultry Professional Committee of the National Livestock and Poultry Genetic Resources Committee, the Academic Committee of the Key Laboratory of Animal Genetic Resources and Breeding of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, and vice chairman of the National Pigeon Industry Science and Technology Innovation Alliance.
Research Interest and Achievement
She led and completed the work in breeding the “Liyuan you” layer and participated in breeding the “Jingxing yellow 103”. She chaired the “Specifications for the conservation farms of Chinese chicken breeds” (NY/T 1901-2010), and participated in “Beijing you chicken” (NY/T 1449-2007), “Grading standard for products of Chinese yellow-feathered chicken” (GB/T19676-2005), “Feeding standard of chicken” (NY/T 33-2004), and “Feeding management regulations of yellow-feathered chicken” (NY/T 1871-2010). She was awarded the first prize of the 2019 Beijing Science and Technology Award (personally ranked 1st), the Animal Breeding Award of the DBN Science and Technology Award (personally ranked 1st), the second prize of the 2017 National Science and Technology Progress Award (personally ranked 4th.
