The National Dairy Science and Technology Innovation Alliance was established in 2016. The Alliance proposes a quality development model. By revealing the scientific concept of "high quality milk from local milk", the Alliance hope to realize the localization of raw milk freshness in milk source, low-carbon processing technology, high quality milk products in products, rationalization of national consumption, achieve the demonstration role of standard leading - quality leading - brand leading, significantly improve the scientific and technological competitiveness of national dairy industry, and provide consumers with real healthy and safe, low-carbon green, nutritious and fresh milk products.
The demonstration enterprises of quality milk project have grown from the initial 3 to 63 dairy enterprises in 25 provinces, and the category of quality dairy products has been extended from liquid milk to milk powder, and the scientific concept of "quality milk from local milk" has become the ballast for the development of national enterprises.
