The Laboratory of Quality & Safety Risk Assessment for Dairy Product of China Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs was approved to be established in December 2012. There are 2 researchers, 2 associate researchers, 10 assistant researchers, 7 post-doctoral fellows, and 41 doctoral and master students in the laboratory, covering various disciplines such as food safety, food microbiology, toxicology, analytical chemistry, instrumental analysis, animal nutrition, animal medicine, which provide talent technical support to carry out risk assessment of milk products.
The laboratory specializes in milk quality and quality and safety research, and has undertaken the "Eleventh Five-Year Plan" dairy industry science and technology support program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, "973" dairy industry special projects, international science and technology cooperation programs and the National Natural Fund projects, won two national science and technology awards, five provincial and ministerial level awards, identified six provincial and ministerial level achievements, obtained 12 national authorized patents, three utility model patents, and published more than 300 papers.
