The veterinary public safety and management science and technology innovation team focuses on research on exotic animal diseases such as African swine fever, new diagnostic technologies, new vaccines and integrated prevention and control technologies for major livestock and poultry epidemics. The team established a diagnostic technology platform for epidemic pathogenesis and immunology and a genetic engineering vaccine development platform, developed nucleic acid and immunology detection technologies for bovine tuberculosis and African swine fever, and created a live vaccine candidate strain for African swine fever virus gene deletion, which provided technical support for the prevention and control of bovine tuberculosis, African swine fever and other major animal diseases.
