The team is dedicated to elucidating major basic scientific issues such as the growth and metabolism of pathogenic bacteria (viruses) and virulence regulation mechanisms, immune response/escape mechanisms, and pathogen transmission patterns, taking Brucella abortus, Mycobacterium bovis and other important zoonotic pathogens and important pet disease pathogens as research objects. The team combines advanced theories and technologies to create new high-throughput rapid diagnostic techniques, differential diagnostic techniques, therapeutic drugs, and new vaccines to protect animal biosecurity and public health in China.
