The Science and Technology Innovation Team of Livestock and Poultry Genetic Resources Protection and Utilization is dedicated to the fields of livestock and poultry genetic resources collection and preservation, evaluation and identification, excellent gene discovery and sharing and utilization. It created the only basic condition platform of the Ministry of Science and Technology in the field of animal husbandry---The “National Domestic Animal Germplasm Resources Sharing Platform”, which has facilitated resource information and physical sharing more than 100,000 times. The resource research has published more than 260 SCI-indexed papers in international journals such as Current Biology, Molecular Biology and Evolution, National Science Review, etc., and discovered more than 50 excellent genes, granted 34 invention patents, discovered 4 new resources, and jointly bred 1 new variety. They have won 4 first-class prizes at provincial and ministerial level.
