Aiming at the contradiction between quality and efficiency in broiler production, the team created the breeding technology for grain-saving dwarf broilers, meat quality selection technology such as intramuscular fat and disease resistance technology such as lymphocyte ratio in China. We have successfully bred 3 new breeds of “Jingxing yellow-feathered broiler” series (matching lines). Jingxing Yellow Chicken 100 and 102 were introduced to the whole country by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development as the leading breeds, and Jingxing Yellow Chicken 103 has excellent meat quality and flavor and is famous as “Palace Yellow Chicken” in the northern region, becoming a successful example of local germplasm resources utilization of Beijing oil chicken. Jingxing yellow feather broiler series has a market share of nearly 50% in the same type of products in northern China, leading and supporting the technological innovation of local breed improvement in China.
