Recently, Ms. Petra Salame, Programme Management Officer of Department of Technical Cooperation of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), visited Institute of Animal Science (IAS). Mr. Liu Wenbo, Division Chief of the Multilateral Cooperation Division of the Department of International Cooperation of CAAS, Mr. Jia Yaxiong, Division Chief of the Science and Technology Management Division of IAS, and Mr. Bu Dengpan, Professor of Ruminant Nutrition Innovation Team, participated in the event.

Ms. Salame and her delegation visited the digital exhibition hall of IAS, comprehensively understanding the development history, research areas, and current situation of IAS. They also visited the central laboratories and ruminant animal nutrition innovation team, gaining in-depth insight into the construction of the institute's instrument platform and the research progress of the cooperative team. During the meeting, Ms. Salame listened to the progress and achievements report of the IAEA-funded project undertaken by IAS, and highly appreciated the implementation of the project, expressing expectations for the continued stable cooperation between the two sides.

They pointed out that IAS and IAEA have a solid cooperation foundation focusing on the application of isotope technology in animal husbandry. Both sides will further enhance communication, closely cooperate, and continuously promote the application of the latest achievements to accelerate global agricultural sustainable development.
