The National Demonstration Base for Talent Introduction and Intellectual Exchange (Agriculture and Rural Revitalization category) was designated by the Ministry of Science and Technology in November 2018, with a validity period until November 2023. Its purpose is to fulfill the responsibilities and obligations of a national demonstration base for talent introduction and intellectual exchange, coordinate the promotion of foreign intellectual and scientific innovation exchanges, accelerate the demonstration and promotion of achievements in talent introduction, and strive to build a platform for attracting high-level foreign talents and high-level research and innovation outcomes.

        Through the National Demonstration Base for Talent Introduction and Intellectual Exchange project, the Institute of Animal Science and Veterinary Medicine has deepened international exchanges and cooperation in the construction of an international dairy technology promotion platform, improvement of forage quality, enhancement of dairy cow health, enhancement of dairy cow productivity, and protection, development, and hybrid utilization of poultry genetic resources. The base has attracted internationally renowned experts to provide technical guidance and seek solutions for key core technologies. It has also provided technical support for the establishment of the national poultry sperm bank, rescue collection of germplasm resources, and efficient development and utilization.
