International research center on dairy science was performed by the dairy research institutes from China, the United States, Canada, Australia, Brazil,…on 29^th December, 2013, which was support by the Institute of Animal Science, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences. Its purpose is to integrate high-tech research and industrial production of superior forces at domestic and abroad in the field of dairy, dairy science and technology development to establish communication and sharing mechanism, enhance the capability of independent innovation of China's dairy industry, and promote the healthy and sustainable development of the dairy industry and industrial upgrading, in order to enhance the international influence of China dairy. 

International research center on dairy science as a national international joint research center will effectively play the role to promote and facilitate international cooperation in science and technology to expand openness and cooperation in dairy science and technology and enhance the level of dairy science and technology of China. And will be conducive for China's dairy industry to be similar with the international science and technology cooperation model ‘project – talent – base’, and become an international platform for technological innovation and training.
